Intellectual Property Policy

This Intellectual Property Policy describes the ownership of content, trademarks, and technology comprising the SYNC-Gift platform, and your rights as a user.

1. Ownership

All intellectual property rights in and to the SYNC-Gift platform — including but not limited to the website, mobile applications, software, source code, databases, user interface designs, graphics, logos, trade names, and written content — are owned by or licensed to SYNC-Gift Inc. and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws in Canada, the United States, and internationally.

You may not use these marks without the prior written consent of SYNC-Gift Inc.. Unauthorised use may constitute trademark infringement.

3. Licence to Users

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, SYNC-Gift Inc. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for its intended personal and non-commercial gifting purpose. This licence does not include the right to:

Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service or its content.
Distribute, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from the Service.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software underlying the Service.
Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the Service.

4. User-Generated Content

If you submit, upload, or transmit any content to the Service (such as gift messages or profile images), you grant SYNC-Gift Inc. a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to any content you submit.

5. Copyright Infringement (DMCA / Notice & Takedown)

If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to legal@sync-gift.com including:

Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on the Service.
Your contact information (name, address, phone, email).
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Your physical or electronic signature.

We will review and respond to valid notices in accordance with applicable law.

6. Third-Party Content & Open Source

The Service may incorporate third-party components, libraries, and open-source software. Such components are subject to their respective licences. Nothing in this policy grants you any rights in third-party intellectual property.

7. Enforcement

We actively enforce our intellectual property rights. Unauthorised use may result in account termination and legal action. We reserve all rights not expressly granted in these Terms.
